Social Models of Health

We are experts in providing social models of health which are integrated with health and care services. This includes holistic wellbeing assessments of needs and strengths, community navigation support and social prescribing services. These social approaches reach out to the social circumstances of peoples lives; identifying and addressing the personal and structural barriers that get in the way of being able to live a valued and dignified life. Where we have integrated these approaches at pressure points in health and care services we have been able to augment clinical outcomes, reduce demand and save money.

We were the first organisation ever to integrate a social model of health at scale with all GP practices in a borough. We support several thousand patients every year and as one clinician described, “Wellbeing Enterprises have helped me to think differently about the way I respond to patient need - I now give far more attention to the social issues impacting on health”.
